My Saturdays used to soaked in alcohol, which meant all Sundays were sacked off. I was spending at least two sevenths of my life either drunk or hungover. Since going sober, I'm rediscovering the joy of the weekend, if that's a trip to a museum, hunting for charity shop treasures or just chilling indoors. However, nothing beats the excitement of date day. My husband is a partly reformed boozer, so dates of yesterday usually ended with threes bottles of wine and a side of blackout. I now scour menus for the alcohol free offerings as much as I peruse the food. Recent date day editions of Sober Saturday have included Prawn on the Lawn.

One of the best fish restaurants in London, the food is superb. Delectable little plates of seafood heaven: scallops seasoned with nduja, tempura oysters with chive creme fraiche and a chocolate mousse to die for. This has been a regular haunt, and the waitress gave a surprised look when I asked for the Low and No drinks menu. Best on the bill was Botivo and soda. Bursting with botanicals, it has a bitter orange taste not dissimilar to a negroni. A Pentine margarita also went down very nicely too.
